Reasons To Use An Electric Golf Caddy
I have always been intrigued by electric golf carts when I see people on the course cruising along with one. And, there are some really compelling reasons to use an electric golf cart.
Preserve Energy
Pushing a golf cart up and down hills may burn calories, but it likely does not help your golf game. Most of the time golfers load their bags heavier when using a cart and it can be tiring to push a cart.
An electric cart eliminates that drawback and allows you to just walk and playing using minimal energy on the cart. There is nothing worse than trudging up a hill and trying to lower your pulse while you pour over a putt for par.
Save Money
This benefit seems counterintuitive–especially since premium electric golf carts are in the thousands. Compared to driving golf carts, an electric golf caddy will save you money after about 2 seasons.
Plus it allows you to walk, which is part of the fun of golf.
Play In All Conditions
With a driving golf cart, you are prevented from taking them on the course in poor conditions. Electric golf caddies do not have these restrictions. You can take them on the course after/during the rain.
No more having to walk 80 yards with 3 clubs and a rangefinder in your hand because the course is cart path only.
Prevent Back Pain
As golfers age, there is a higher chance of lower back pain. Using a push cart can put a strain on your lower back. An electric push cart removes that burden from you and only requires you to steer the cart.

Why Choose The MGI Zip X3?
Comes with a 36 hole premium lithium battery, accessories, premium frame, and all terrain wheels....
MGI has been building electric golf caddies for a long time and focuses on building a premium product.
The MGI Zip X3 Electric Golf Caddy is MGI’s middle-of-the-road offering. It is a great option for those that don’t need the advanced features of the Zip Navigator or Zip X5.
Here are some of the features that MGI electric golf caddies offer that make them stand out:
Premium Frame
The MGI Zip X3 features a lightweight, yet durable frame. It is built to withstand varying weather conditions without rusting, fading, or warping.
All Terrain Wheels
The importance of tires are often overlooked for electric golf carts. All terrain wheels allow the caddy to travel through any conditions without losing traction.
In addition, they are longer-lasting than smaller tires with less tread.
Premium Lithium Batteries
A quality battery is one of the most important features of an electric golf caddy. The MGI Zip Caddies all offer 24 volt premium lithium batteries.
The MGI Zip X3 comes standard with a 24 volt 250Wh lithium battery with an optional 24 volt 380Wh lithium battery.
What does 380wh mean? A 24 volt 380 watt-hour (Wh) lithium battery is larger and has more capacity than a 250 watt-hour lithium battery. The capacity of a battery is measured in watt-hours (Wh), which represents the amount of energy that can be stored in the battery. For example, if a device consumes power at a rate of 50 watts, a 380 Wh battery will last 7.6 hours (380 / 50) and a 250 Wh battery will last 5 hours (250 / 50).
3 Year Warranty
MGI stands behind their products and their 3 year warranty clearly demonstrates that. An electric golf caddy is a premium product, and having a long warranty included is a massive benefit.
Accessory Friendly
MGI is known as the industry leader in accepting accessories on their line of electric golf caddies. No other brand has as many options as MGI, so you can customize your caddie exactly how you want it.

If you are comparing the Zip X3 to the Zip X5, here are the key differences:
- The Zip X3 does not come with an electronic parking brake
- The Zip X3 does not come with downhill speed control
If you have a hilly course, the Zip X5 is a better option (or the more advanced Zip Navigator). For a flat to moderate hilly course, the Zip X3 will work well as you won’t need the parking brake or downhill speed control.

This is standard for the MGI Zip electric cart line.
Good Stability
The MGI Zip X3 was designed to be very stable and work over a variety of rough terrain.
It offers all-terrain tread rear wheels and includes a foldable rear fourth wheel for added stability.
It is a good option for flat to moderate hills.
Accessories
The MGI Zip X3 can accept a ton of accessories–more than the competition.
This means you can customize to fit how you like to play.
All of the MGI Zip carts can accept the same accessories.
Battery
The MGI Zip X3 has a 24v 250Wh high performance lithium battery.
There is also an optional 24v 380Wh high performance lithium battery available for purchase.
The battery will last a minimum of 36 holes and takes about 4.5 hours to get a full charge.
