Let’s look at each one of these areas in more detail starting with the most important–material!
Ghost Golf Gloves Made with 100% Cabretta Leather
Ghost Golf gloves are made from AAA 100% Cabretta Leather. This is the best material that a golf glove can be made with.
You get an incredible grip, breathability, lightweight material, extremely soft feel, and great durability.
Your grip is the only connection between you and the golf club. This IS the place to spend money on a quality product–your golf glove.
Why a Premium Golf Glove is so Important
I used to always purchase synthetic golf gloves as I thought to myself, “Why spend $30 on a leather glove that won’t make it through 9 holes until my hand starts sweating or that I will have to throw away after a month of range practice“.
Someone gave me a 100% Cabretta Leather golf glove and after wearing it, I never purchased synthetic again. Not even for rain gloves.
The glove was so soft, and I could play an entire round in the heat without my hands getting sweaty or having the club slip. They actually lasted longer than synthetics because the cheaper ones wore out fast.
How a Poor Golf Grip Costs You Strokes
Lack of control: When the club slips in your hands, you lose control over the clubface, making it difficult to execute your intended shot. This lack of control can result in mishits, such as thin or fat shots, slices, or hooks.
Inconsistent ball flight: The slipping of the club can lead to an inconsistent impact position, altering the angle at which the clubface strikes the ball. This can cause variations in ball flight, including decreased distance, loss of accuracy, and a lack of control over the shot shape.
Decreased power and distance: A slipping club can result in a loss of power and reduced distance on your shots. Without a secure grip, you may not be able to generate optimal clubhead speed and transfer power efficiently through the swing.
Impact on swing tempo and timing: The unexpected slip of a golf club can disrupt your swing tempo and timing, as you may instinctively adjust your swing to compensate for the loss of control. This can lead to rushed or manipulated swings, resulting in further inconsistencies and decreased shot quality.
To prevent a golf club from slipping, it’s important to have a premium golf glove so you maintain the proper grip throughout the swing.
Why AAA 100% Cabretta Leather is the Best Golf Glove Material
Cabretta leather is the best material for a golf glove. They stay dry in hot conditions which is critical for your grip.
Synthetic materials do not breathe and you end up sweating in the glove which can lead to the club slipping or taking a tighter grip.
AAA 100% Cabretta Leather refers to a high-quality grade of leather commonly used in the production of gloves, particularly golf gloves.
AAA is a grading system used to denote the quality of the leather, with AAA being the highest grade.
Cabretta leather is known for its softness, suppleness, and durability. It is often chosen for gloves because of its ability to provide a good grip while maintaining a comfortable fit.
The term “100% Cabretta Leather” means that the entire glove is made from this particular type of leather, ensuring consistent quality throughout the product.
Golfers often prefer AAA 100% Cabretta Leather gloves because they offer excellent feel and control, allowing for a better connection between the hands and the golf club.
See below for more details on Cabretta Leather vs Synthetics.
Dry Cuff Lining
Ghost Golf gloves incorporate a Dry Cuff Lining. The benefit to you is that it wicks away moisture around your wrist keeping your hands dry.
This feature enhances the overall performance and comfort of the glove.
The Dry Cuff Lining refers to the material used on the inner portion of the cuff, which is the area that wraps around the wrist.
This lining is designed to have quick-drying properties, meaning it helps to rapidly evaporate any moisture or sweat that accumulates in that area.
By doing so, it helps to keep the hands dry and comfortable during physical activities or in hot and humid conditions.
Additionally, the lining is moisture-wicking, which means it has the ability to pull or draw moisture away from the skin and transport it to the outer surface of the glove. This helps to enhance the evaporation process and maintain a drier and more comfortable feel.
Perforated Stretch Zones
By incorporating perforated and stretch zones into a golf glove, Ghost Golf provides golfers with enhanced comfort and performance.
The breathability provided by the perforations helps to regulate temperature and moisture, while the stretch zones ensure a snug yet flexible fit, allowing for better control and feel of the club.
By incorporating perforated and stretch zones into a golf glove, Ghost Golf provides golfers with enhanced comfort and performance.
Perforated zones are small holes or punctures strategically placed in specific areas of the glove, such as the fingers, backhand, or palm. These perforations allow for increased airflow, promoting better breathability within the glove.
By enhancing ventilation, the golfer’s hands are less likely to become excessively sweaty and uncomfortable, as the air can circulate more effectively.
Stretch zones, on the other hand, are areas of the glove that incorporate stretchable materials or fabric in the finger joints & across the backhand.
These zones offer flexibility and allow for a more natural range of motion during the golf swing. The stretchable materials accommodate hand movements, preventing the glove from restricting or hindering the golfer’s grip or swing.
Ghost Glove Pull Tab
The pull tab is the section of the Ghost Golf glove used to fasten it with Velcro.
Ghost Golf designed the glove to make it really easy to put on & take off the glove. This eliminates one frustration from the game–trying to pull off the glove while holding clubs.
It’s just another small detail that sets this glove apart from other gloves on the market.

Leather vs Synthetic Blends
The preference for golf gloves made of AAA 100% Cabretta Leather versus synthetic materials is universal among golfers. Leather golf gloves cost more, but also perform better.
Cabretta Leather
Cabretta leather gloves, especially of high quality like AAA grade, are known for their softness, suppleness, and ability to conform to the shape of the hand over time. This can provide a more natural and comfortable feel, allowing for enhanced grip and control of the golf club.
Additionally, leather gloves often offer good breathability, which can help keep the hands cool and dry during play and make them suitable for prolonged use on the golf course.
Synthetic Gloves
Synthetic gloves can be more durable and resistant to wear and tear compared to leather gloves (although I have found the opposite myself).
However, synthetic golf gloves are often considered less ideal for warm weather conditions compared to leather. Here are a few reasons why synthetic gloves can be less suitable in warm weather:
- Limited breathability: Synthetic materials typically have lower breathability compared to natural materials like leather. In warm weather, when your hands are more likely to perspire, the lack of breathability in synthetic gloves can lead to moisture build-up, making your hands feel hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable.
- Reduced moisture absorption: Synthetic gloves do not absorb moisture as well as natural materials. As a result, perspiration on your hands may not be efficiently wicked away, leading to a greater chance of a slippery grip and potential loss of control during the swing.
- Potential for odor and bacteria growth: The lack of breathability and moisture absorption in synthetic gloves can create an environment conducive to the growth of bacteria, which can result in unpleasant odors over time.
- Rougher feel & worse grip – Due to their materials, they are rougher in feel and do not have the same grip as leather.
